Advent-Christmas Members Recital: December 7, 2014
Dr. Paul Hesselink is the organist at Christ Church Episcopal, Las Vegas and Sub-Dean of the Southern Nevada Chapter, AGO. He chairs the Organ Recital Series Committee.
Katharine Jensen earned her Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from the Indiana University Jacob's School of Music, and her Master of Music in Conducting from UNLV. She is currently Director of Bands at Johnston Middle School in North Las Vegas where she is also the Fine Arts Department Chair.
Dr. David Dorway is the organist at Grace Presbyterian Church, Las Vegas and the Treasurer of the Southern Nevada Chapter, AGO. He is also a member of the Organ Recital Series Committee
Dr. Janis McKay is Associate Professor of Bassoon at UNLV and is the Principal Chair bassoon in the Las Vegas Philharmonic.
Brian Burns is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist and is a 25-year resident of Las Vegas. He currently performs in several local bluegrass groups and took up playing the mandolin two years ago.
Jan Bigler is the organist for the LDS Whitney Ranch Ward and is currently the Dean of the Southern Nevada AGO Chapter. She is also a member of the Organ Recital Series Committee.
Jeremy Wolstenhume is the Orchestra Director at Hyde Park Middle School in Las Vegas and a member of the Las Vegas Philharmonic.
Carla Swift is an organist for the LDS Whitney Ranch Ward, a private piano teacher in Las Vegas and a member of the Southern Nevada AGO Chapter.
Isadora Trinkle performs in "Portable Masterpieces" with Trinkle Brass Works. She holds music degrees from UNLV and Arizona State University. Currently she teaches elementary general music in the Clark County School District and in the FAYM program.
Dr. Eugenie Burkett is Associate Professor and Coordinator of Music Education programs at UNLV. In addition to being an organist, she holds a Masters degree in Percussion. She is a member of the Southern Nevada Chapter's Organ Recital Series Committee.
Kathi Colman is the Music Director at Christ Church Episcopal, Las Vegas. She is a member of the Southern Nevada Chapter, AGO.
