Internationally acclaimed organist Dr. Damin Spritzer brings her artistry to the Paul S. Hesselink Organ Concert Series in a recital noted for its clarity, color, and expressive depth. An active performer, recording artist, and scholar, Spritzer is widely respected for performances that balance technical brilliance with compelling musical storytelling.
Spritzer serves as Area Chair and Associate Professor of Organ at the University of Oklahoma and is Artist-in-Residence for Cathedral Arts at the Cathedral Church of Saint Matthew in Dallas. She has appeared in major venues across the United States and internationally, including recent performances in England, Scotland, France, Belgium, and Germany, as well as at landmark halls such as Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Meyerson Symphony Center.
A prolific recording artist, Spritzer is currently preparing the release of her eighth commercial recording, devoted exclusively to works by women composers, with volumes recorded in the United States and France. Her extensive discography has received international critical acclaim for both performance and scholarship.
This recital offers audiences an opportunity to experience a thoughtful and engaging program performed by one of today’s most respected voices in the organ world.
All performances this season take place on the 53-rank, 38-stop, three-manual, 3,000-pipe tracker-action Maurine Jackson Smith Memorial Organ, built by Rudolf von Beckerath, located in Dr. Arturo Rando-Grillot Hall on the main campus of UNLV.
