The Southern Nevada Chapter of the American Guild of Organists is pleased to join the UNLV Organ Department in welcoming Dr. Neil Harmon for an afternoon and evening of organ study, practical discussion, and performance.
Dr. Harmon is Coordinator of Organ and Carillon Studies at Brigham Young University and is nationally recognized as a teacher, performer, composer, arranger, conductor, and church musician.

6:00 PM | Pre-Recital Presentation
Tips on Being a Weekend Organist
A practical presentation for church organists and musicians addressing the realities of serving regularly at the organ bench.
7:00 PM | Organ Recital
Dr. Harmon will perform works by Proulx, Mendelssohn, Gade, Bach, Buxtehude, Howell, Harmon, Campbell, and Dallier.
About Dr. Neil Harmon
Dr. Neil Harmon serves as Coordinator of Organ and Carillon Studies at Brigham Young University. He previously served as Director of Organ Studies at Utah State University and as an adjunct organ professor at Utah Valley University and BYU.
For 19 years, he served as Director of Music and Organist at Grace United Methodist Church in Wilmington, Delaware. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Brigham Young University and Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees from the Eastman School of Music.
An active teacher, performer, accompanist, composer, arranger, and conductor, Dr. Harmon is nationally recognized for his creative organ arrangements and choral and handbell compositions.
