Kathi holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance degree from Arizona State University. Upon graduation she moved to Las Vegas and became the operatic lead singer in both “Hallelujah Hollywood” and “Jubilee” at the old MGM Grand (now Bally’s). She was the featured soprano soloist for the Vienna Music Festival in Vienna, Austria, and also with the Symphonic Association of Las Vegas. Kathi became the Director of Music at Christ Church Episcopal in 1986 and held that position for thirty years.

Kathi always had the dream of a larger pipe organ for the church so she organized a committee in 1994, which included Dr. Paul Hesselink as consultant, and Alice Hohenthaner, parish organist. After the sudden death of the rector in 1996, the project was put on hold until years later when the dream became a reality. The 54/IV Schantz pipe organ was installed in late 2009 and dedicated in February 2010.

She initiated a very successful organ concert series in the fall of 2010 which featured many local, national, and international organists in concert.  Kathi also arranged and hosted recitals by numerous solo vocal and instrumental artists, and concerts with larger choral and instrumental groups over the years.

Kathi became a member of SNCAGO in November 2009 and was elected Secretary in May of 2016. She was appointed the Chairman of the 50th Anniversary Celebration of our chapter held at UNLV in June 2019.

Kathi is the Assistant Director of Music at Epiphany Episcopal Church in Las Vegas.  She conducts the bell choir and also sings in the choir.
