March 30, 2022 is chapter member Evelyn’s 90th birthday. As a gift, her daughters asked the SNCAGO to help plan a special concert. Evelyn has been a guild member since 1955.

Evelyn always wanted to play the organ, even as a little girl. Her aunt was the organist at her church, and was her inspiration. She studied organ and piano at Bethany College in Lindsborg, KS and continued her studies post-graduation. In 1972, she began to play for service at First Lutheran Church in Kearney, NE. In 1994, she was quoted as saying, “Someday I suppose I’ll have to retire, my husband in retired, but I’m not ready to yet… I enjoy playing the organ too much!”. She played at First Lutheran for 25 years.

The music for this concert includes some of Evelyn’s favorite songs.
